Wisdom teeth may be black / gray out, then your rotten?
My last wisdom tooth has come through the agony of the last few days, I make an emergency appointment tomorrow. The pain radiates all around my mouth and the bottom of the gums are very red. I see the top of the tooth and is gray / black - not this mean their rotten? Its still sitting firmly in my swollen gum! Thanks
Unfortunately, it sounds like the decayed tooth is probably, if it is gray / black in color. I think it's quite common for wisdom teeth become carious while they are still only partially erupted, and there's not much you can do to avoid it actually happens. Get that appointment as soon as possible so it will not be in pain during Christmas, in salt water rinses as well (although unpleasant) can help with inflammation of the gums, and can always try the clove oil / bonjela too.
